I think Planet X hubs are manufactured by Novatec they do several different models so a search of the Novatec catalogue will be required to determine which is yours.

Yes, reckon they are novatec hubs.

...so my AL30s front and rear have acquired bearing issues 1500 miles in - is this usual?! Am I covered by any warranty - my PX bike is less than 1 year old. Bearings have not been expensive but pretty painful journey, thwacking them out, thwacking them in and then discovering the free hub is to shot (I think). Am I just unlucky or is the AL30 that bad?!?!? :-(

I had a call from Planet X warranty. They have sent me a new rear wheel and gave me a credit note for postage.

Apparently they do have spares and part numbers for the bearings (and also sell replacement freehubs). The warranty chap said he would make sure the sales staff knew that they carry spares.

Reasonably happy with that response.

Doesn't sound like you're unlucky, no. I would hazard a guess I did similar mileage before my rear wheel was shot.
