Planet X AL30 freehub bearings.

Does anyone know which type they are? I can't be arsed removing them (will get the LBS to do it) but I want to buy them first.

Oh, and does anyone know the spare part for the rear axle? If I can't get one the wheel is a write off (don't ask)

I will NEVER attempt to change wheel bearings on this type of wheel again (I changed the wheel bearings) In fact I won't buy this wheel again.

mmmm I changed the bearings on mine - successfully too - thing was the freehub was knackered. Forget the bearing numbers found them on the interweb...

You'll need if I remember correctly
a 6001 2RS and also a 6901 2RS.

Thanks-those I bought for the axle, replaced but the freehub is clearly knackered too. What did you do with the freehub? replace? where from?

I replaced the wheel - I have no idea where to get those freehubs from sorry....maybe someone can help...

I was going to give them a call, just not had time today. I get the impression (from doing some internet searching) they won't have a clue where to source spare parts from.

im affraid I didn't find them overly helpful - which is why I had my replacement wheel built up. Ultegra hubs, DT swiss rims and stainless steel double butted spokes....

Bit of an update:

I gave PX a call. They dont know the part numbers. The chap suggested sending in a complaint which I have done. He intimated that these questions were quite common and management had been told in the past.

as and when I have part numbers I will let peeps know.

Another update - emailed PX on 16 March above. Initially got a reply asking me to scan a copy of the receipt. I duly did that 10 days ago. Three chaser emails and nothing. Getting farked off with them

I seem to read a lot about the lack of customer service from PX, friend of mine's bike was delayed week after week despite numerous promises and emails, all they kept saying was 'give is £100 and we'll bump you up the queue'

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt at the moment, given they have had their price drop sale. They are likely to be very busy.

No, it really happened I have seen the email, they called it 'priority build' or some such phrase even though he had a supposed date of when it was meant to be ready.
