Thanks for all the parenting advice.

Vaping's not ideal but smoking's a lot worse; we see it as a move in the right direction.

I remember my mother using that logic when she caught one of my older brothers smoking, aged about 14. She sat him down and made him chain smoke a packet of 20 in the hope that it would sicken him. It didn't work. Took him about another 30 years before he saw sense and stopped. Now aged 65 he is beginning to pay the price with circulation problems affecting his mobility .

I still puff my pipe, 2 or 3 bowls a week.

There are or used to be vaping shops. I'd go and have a word with them. Some have nicotine in them and some don't.
