Pins and needles in my toes..

If you can pedal with your heels down I would say your saddle is too low. Try raising it until it's obviously too high, then keep lowering it incrementally, half inch at a time. Did this recently, also used to get similar problem.

I've had another thought about this and I need some opinions please.

I have flat feet.. Bad enough for me to have arch supports when I was younger. Could this be a cause of numb toes if my feet are flattening when compressed? This would explain why it makes no difference which shoes I wear or whether I'm clipped in or on flats.

Thoughts?

I'm biting the bullet this morning and going to the LBS to buy some new shoes. Specialized do the BG range which have metertarsil support which I'm sure will solve it. Sorry wallet.

Bought some specialized MTB shoes this morning with there cool BG footbed. Got them for £55 which wasn't too bad.

25 miles this evening and so much better in the nerve area. A tiny bit of numbness still and only then after an hour. I might go for the mid option footbed when my wallet recovers but great to finally make progress.
