... After about an hour in the saddle. No clips, just normal shoes and flats. Just my little toe and the one next to it, equally on both feet.

I did wonder for a minute if it was the cold. It was quite chilly but it didn't feel like that sort of discomfort.

I've played with saddle position for a while, I have height spot on, and angle as well. Measuring with a plumb line from the middle of my knee bone dent (as instructed) it falls about right, if not slightly behind where it should be, but I have no more forward adjustment in the saddle.

Any ideas?

Hi MattHB
Look up Morton's Neuroma on the NHS website as the symptoms you describe may well be attributable to pressure on the nerves supplying the toes. Best wishes.

I think I've had a major breakthrough with this huge problem that I've had for ages.

On my ride out tonight I noticed that I was pedalling heal down (a lot). At the time the numb toes issue was fully in force. I consciously changed my foot angle to toe down (a lot) and after a few mins the numbness went (although my calf soon started cramping)! So it seems that this is the issue.

My question now is what part of my setup is causing me to naturally pedal heal down? Is it cleats too far forward? Or may be saddle to far back?

Help! I'm so close to sorting this out, just need help with the final tweak

I was going to say I had a similar problem. It was the pressure on the underside of my feet on the pedals. Started using hard soled shoes and it didnt happen.

Weird thing is it happens no matter what shoes, clips or no clips. The only constant is my pedaling action. I'm glad I know for sure it the angle of my foot, just how to fix it?

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Maybe how your foot is resting on the pedals?
I have just started to use an exercise bike as a cheap turbo and the pedals are shite as they do not let me keep the optimum position for my feet .
If you have got your foot so your trapping a nerve?

This all said even when its not that cold out you can easily get cold feet so maybe try some better shoes or overshoes for normal shoes as the windchill can catch you out .

Well moved the cleats back and it helped a bit. I do wonder if I'm just having a cold problem cybernight. I have some neoprene overshoes tho and I still have the problem?

Well i get tingles in my feet too. It's not the cold because it happened in summer as well, and is not the shoes as they were very comfortable and 1/2 size over, which allowed me to move my toes around to make it stop, but didnt.
Have not ridden regularly enough recently to track down the source or eliminate the causes but Id be interested to try a few things mentioned here.

Its a real pest! Sort of glad someone else is having the same issues, I'd started to feel like I was going mad!
