I would say that both bikes are very different, but yes the defy is a far better in every way on the road, I still use the mtb every day, but put more miles on the defy (longer rides)

Thanks. I wondered if it might be. I've ridden around Derwent Reservoir higher up but never around the Ladybower circuit. It's a very nice place.

I've never ridden my cycle there i was on my DRZ400sm,
i will ride around that area soon as I'm from barnsley originally and will visit friends and family
