forgot to say , the raleigh twenty ( or stowaway) front wheel cant be fitted anyway round, better explained here

i may have a trigger shifter in the shed not sure but possibly , if you need to replace it give me a shout and i will have a look in the dark depths of the shed.

If you have one in decent nick lurking in your shed I may go for keeping this bike as it was built rather than making it a mis-mash of styles.

Hooray! I've just spent two hours fighting to replace a snapped cable in a twist grip (don't ask). They are the devil's work. Levers every time!

It had its inaugral run out yesterday. Just 3.5 miles to the pub and then back again (eventually). Rediscovered the joy of a full on headwind and only 3 gears

Oh I was doing that yesterday too. It's fine. You really feel the benefit of the improved drivetrain efficiency of thicker chain, straighter chainline and no jockey wheels... and start choosing the route home based on which has higher hedges!
