My weakness is the camera.
I currently have 21 Gbytes of video and photos in the camera folders, plus another 30 Gbytes in a video editing app.

Probably time i had a big delete. Everything is backed up to the cloud already.

Where are your contacts saved? Phone or SIM. I favour SIM. Others will disagree. They always do
Maybe with good reason.
I opt for a 3rd way because I wouldn't want to lose my address book if the sim or phone died, so i use my email address book.
Whenever i setup a new phone, the contacts are there without any hassle, synchronised and cached on every device.

That seems like the sort of 'success' I enjoy with phones and computers - just when I think everything is 'running ok' they come back and bite me . Good luck with sorting it and sorry, my input would only make it worse!

@Andy in Germany you seem to have a lot of audio files.
Is it music?
Maybe transfer the audio to a memory card, or use an MP3 player for music.
Or even just an older phone with only your music loaded would give you free space on the phone you are using currently.

All the "Audio"; "Podcast"; "Music" or WhatsApp Audio files are empty when I click on them.

I’m betting on the cache memory on things like the internet browser, an update to the OS (current and 1awaiting install) or too many SMS messages.

My other thought would be a large GPX or PDF file hidden somewhere in the storage systems.
