While I don't in any way suggest it is foolish to choose not to use it, I would dispute you saying it is foolish to do so.

It is personal choice whether to do so or not. Nothing "foolish" either way.

Trite I know, but social media is what you make of it. If you put some thought into curating your feed, Twitter needn't raise your blood pressure (too much). As for Facebook, even though I think it's against the rules, I gave a fake name and plugged in every fake detail I could, rather than feed my info to the beast. Unfortunately it's a necessary evil, as it's taken the place of the local newspaper, and some of my far-flung family mostly communicate using it (made sure to tell them my fake name of course!)

Not particularly. It isn't as if you are personally giving your details to him individually.

I don't do either of those to any significant extent. I do have a Twitter account, but rarely go on there. And rarely mention Musk.
