Indeed. I see quite a few pavement MTBers around my way - indeed it's rare to see a MTB on the road. I feel like stopping and asking whether their mummy won't let them ride on the road yet, but then I think perhaps not.
Yes, because there is absolutely no significant difference in the destruction potential of a badly driven car and a badly ridden bicycle, and of course it is just as feasible for a car to be driven along a footpath as it is a bicycle to be ridden along it, given there is no difference in size between the two (ffs) .
I don't really understand this desire to try and equate two things that have completely different characteristics.
