I quite like Peter Kay (Phoenix Nights was brilliant), but that thing tonight was awful. If it wasn't for Cat Deeley I wouldn't have lasted the 20 minutes I managed.

The fact that Kaye has done literally nothing of note since Phoenix Nights just emphasises how important Neil Fitzmaurice and Dave Spikey were to his career. Once Kaye's ego took over and he binned the talent, the quality of his work dropped like the FTSE in the last two weeks. Max and Paddy was awful and the re-hashed DVD he released plumbed new depths. That thing last night was attrocious. A fire in an orphanage would have produced more laughs. It was only his reputation that convinced a TV station to stump up that amount of money to produce and broadcast the drivel that ITV broadcast from 8pm last night.

Isn't the new series of little britain poor too. Not that the first were high points of high-brow entertainment.

I don't think they are swearing in front of the kids. I watched the first episode and I'm pretty sure it's edited to look like that.

No, I think the hospital receptionist definitely swore in front of the cute little girl and there were sexual references by the guy talking to the boy scouts. Even if the kids were not there and it was edited to make it look like these incidents took place in front of them, the inference and the "joke" clearly was that the kids were there while this was going on.
