It's the time of year when everybody seems to up the ante, in terms of usage of these things, and people buy them for folk. Do you bother? What's your favourite.

I have two fragrances that I'm not allergic to.

I like old spice (original) but the smell doesn't seem to last long. I also like Brut (old school) but no-one seems to buy it for me because these days it's regarded as old man's flavour.

I've had a few "modern" brands of poof bought for me over the years like CK One, Joop, Davidoff, John Paul Goteareuuaare, which were all very pleasant. I only usually buy them if they're on sale though, I wouldn't pay £40 for a bottle.

Nope, pretty sure if I started SWMBO would be wondering if there was another woman...
I probably would if Mr S did. His fragrance is more of the 'I've been out in the garden' variety.

Brut always reminds me of my Grandad, in my youth I would go weak at the knees for a chap wearing Polo by Ralph Lauren. I smell it now and it takes me back 25 years!

Some of my old favourites in there. I actually quite like Brut 33 and old spice. The problem with most of the modern ones, is that they conjure up the image of a chain bar / club toilet, when I smell them, and not just because they smell like the urinals either. My rule of thumb is, if the man in the toilets, with the lollipops has it, it's not for me.

I like Skol

A Minging Manc...
When I got to work on Tuesday, as usual I stripped off and jumped under the shower only to be rewarded with a brief dribble then nothing. Turns out a huge water mains burst nearby had knocked out all the freshwater supply. Luckily I keep an aerosol of Lynx Africa in my locker so disaster averted, it isn't called shower in a can for nothing.....

I have some Joop that MrsF likes me to wear when we out, apart from that , just nice scented soap. I don't like the smell of Joop or any men's fragrance tbh, I do notice women's though and a few drive me crazy.
