Seatpost is a real possibility, as is a creaky saddle rail. I cured a mystery one per revolution by retightening my cleats properly! I have had a cable end stop from the front mech catching the crank once per revolution (scratched the paint as well, first ride

Last week I had a real bizarre one that got faster as my speed increased. That was a piece of gravel embedded in the tyre.

Have you adjusted anything recently? I moved my saddle back 1cm today, and I'm now getting a click when the left pedal reaches its bottom position, but only under a certain amount of load, not if I'm just spinning easily.

It's possible my BB could be on the way out, but I think it's far more likely to be related to the saddle adjustment.

Do you get the noise if you're riding out of the saddle?

I've been getting a click sound lately, at a few different places on the pedal stroke. Thought it was the pedals but I tightened up my cleat bolts on the bottom of my shoes and the sound disappeared!

I solved mine too. I removed the under saddle bag when I moved the saddle back, and didn't do it up tight enough when I put it back on. My left leg was knocking against the strap at the bottom of the pedal stroke when I was pedalling hard, and the plastic clasp was clicking against the seat post.

If only all problems were that easy to solve.

Latest one for me this week was a creak that coincided with every pedal revolution, but only on the inner chainring. Loose chainring bolt.
