Which is why you need to contact them and tell them about the problem - it may be simple to fix but they may not have a Mac to try it on and hence have not spotted the problem

or they may know how to read it on a Mac and will be able to tell you

Agree - the root of the problem is still lack of education and it is surprisingly rife. I work with administrators, nurses and managers at top level; it is very common for 40% of the workforce to not even know what PDF is

Nearly all Adobe products were initially created solely for Apple products. Windows was the poor relation for years...

true, but that doesn't mean cross-compatibility is automatic

Indeed, once Windows was up and running, it was the default cross-platform document format.
