Single track roads are usually quiet enough that you'd hear them coming anyway.

Yeah I meant oncoming traffic, only slight problem is that when I cycle my hearing isn't as good because of the wind (yes, I'm going THAT FAST )

I guess if someone was going really fast I would hear them, but if I didn't I'm

I have the same worry as you sam.

There are some lovely roads around where i live but they are very narrow, the hedges are very overgrown and most people drive along them like idiots.
