A Woman passed me and 5 mins later some chap and not a word from either of them.
I thought that it was gladly known to say hi on your way past, but now I doubt it. Probably even less chance coming the opposite direction .
It the first time I've seen anyone, how terribly rude

I was out for a ride last week, overtook a group of 6 roadies. As I passed someone shouted "its Chopper!". Haven't t a clue who they were but they seem to know me.
