I wonder whether I am old enough yet to get one of those old git bikes from Pashley. I am 57. I used to enjoy riding my grandparents' when I was a lad.
I'm in my forties and have my Grandfather's 1951 Rudge and do ride it quite a bit off and on. Lovely and relaxing and the perfect antidote to the rush of modern life. Super comfortable.
Get your best tweed cap and go for it
The modern Pashley version comes with drum brakes too so you will have the luxury of being able to stop in the rain!
I used to ride a Triumph All Steel with rod brakes. It was just transportation to me at the time. The Pashleys all ride really well but my fav is the Princess!
