Hard to see past Bertie for this.
Valverde and Vande Velde, Leipheimer, Sanchez etc but Contador for me.

Depends what his plan is though... he could be aiming for the whole thing in itself or he could just test himself on a couple of stages. There may be riders who want to win this one more than him.

I suspect Bertie won't be able to resist going for it. He was highly impressive in the Algarve and although I don't see him necessarily winning the prologue, he will be rubbing his hands at the thought of Mende.

I do agree... it would just be nice if someone wanted to win the Paris-Nice enough for itself and not just as a staging post to the Grand Tours. It's a great race in itself.

Not sure Paris-Nice is a Contador type of race. Going to be interesting though, that's for sure.

Well, he's no Kelly, that's for sure but it looked a Bertie kind of race for most of last year (a bonk aside).

Has anyone got links to watch on the net?
I fancy a spanish rider but Bertie may ,as said above, just ride as a marker for fitness

oops, quite right - completely forgot about that. I tend to think of him purely as a climber, and not as a TTer and the only real climbs are on the last day, and are probebly not hard enough to make a difference.
Anyway, can't wait for kick off this afternoon.

He beat Cancellara in the last TdF TT last year!

Henderson took today's stage, which was a bit bizarre, with strong following wind that helped to break-up the peloton. Roche, Millar, Voigt and Valverde all finished in the small leading group.
