Not really on topic but this I just don't understand. What did they hope to achieve by vandalising a gold post box? Then again though it is in Yorkshire and they are most definitely weird there

According to the report, the grafitti said "Go Jess!". So, while it's still wrong, I can see the logic, someone getting a bit over enthusiastic supporting her... And nicer than most of the scrawled obscenity and CDC*s we see.

*CDC = Crudely Drawn... ahem... male appendage.

I don't know whether it would be at all possible on a practical level but I think it would be great if the Olympics and Paralympics were run as one event over a longer period of time.

it would be too long and tedious. I doubt that the expanded event could sustain worldwide interest.
