As per the title, I bought this bike for the wife this week and we realised due to the handlebar thickness that her basket won't fit on the front so we thought we'd fit some more practical bags on the rear.
I believe some won't go on due to the disc brakes.
Can anyone one recommend something please, any price really, without being silly, I prefer to buy quality as I feel if you buy cheap you buy twice.
Thanks

Most baskets can be fitted with Rixen and Kaul bar mount adapter, either klikfix removable or permanent.
Does the bike have rear rack eyelets?
The rear disc brake is located on the chainstay so does not interfere with std racks. You don't need a special disc-compatible rack. Tubus racks are the best but many aluminium racks work just as well.
Beware of racks that don't play well with common pannier mounting systems.

Topeak are excellent, bit pricey but very well made, I've got a bunch of their stuff. If you go for the beam rack (4 different types) then the side supports are needed with any of the bags with 'drop down' side bags (they fold and zip away) but the 'mudguard' is not really needed.
I've got 2 of their permanent fitting racks (an Explorer and a Super Tourist) fitted to my Ridgeback hybrid/flat bar touring bike and my Raleigh Outlander rigid MTB/carthorse/commuter and a beam rack (with side frames and mudguard) that fits on most of my road bikes and 4 of their top bags (they slide on and lock very securely) of differing sizes.
I'd recommend them to anyone but like I say they are on the pricey side but worth every penny.:okay:

A disc-rack will fit but so will a normal one. Normal ones don't need an extra 1" spacer each side so are narrower, more aerodynamic and stronger, lighter. Disc racks are designed to work around chainstay-mounted brakes. Yours is seatstay-mounted for normal rack use.
Use a normal rack.

I'm not clear on what chainstay and seatstay differences are, I've tried to look on the goog but it isn't clear.

That is a little light for us at 7kg capacity, I'll be dragging the 2 boys on the weehoo igo2, so she gets all the luggage (and some lead bars)

See the addition/edit you could get the explorer on with the centre bolt adapter. 25 kilo capacity.

Second that for rixen and kaul fittings. I had a problem fitting my handlebar bag to my ridgeback tourer due to the suicide brakes but the LBS came up with this little gem.

That looks a lot like my genesis croix de fer with the tektro top mount brakes.
We're trying to get stuff off the handle bars for her as she ends up with it too heavy up front at about 15kg
