I bought a 20L Altura night vision pannier when I bought the rack and didn't think I liked it until I tried out the Halfords ones . Although they didn't break any eggs I couldn't fit a ten box of eggs in them . I have 12 chickens so need a pannier to carry my eggs baby yeah .
I got fed up with messing around so bought another 20L Altura today .

Review .......
10 eggs unbroken
The pocket tight to the back of the pack fits four beers side by side .
My bomber jacket fits in the main bag with beers in the pocket .
I think they may take a create of beer but I am yet to test this ........ It wont be long before I do just because I need to know these things .
Oh and they have shiney stuff on them so cars and things can see you .

My avail wears a Topeak super tourist rack and an mtx trunk bag. Fab bit of kit as the pannier bags fold in and out as needed. Plenty good enough for eggs . As long as you don't drop the bike or bang it against something hard! Slides on and off with ease

I think you can use on the seat post racks too if you don't want a fixed one

have one on my boardman cx day ride+go to work bike..... great bit of kit ... for day rides and popping to the shop as vickster has said

They are SKS thermoplastics. My wifes bike have the same. They are very good. I plan to buy some for my Sirrus Elite

I tried a few. I wish I'd gone straight to Ortlieb. The right kit saves you money. They fit onto a standard rack and are quick release. They are waterproof and bomb proof. They are the best kit IF you need detachable paniers.
Interestingly, and it was mentioned elsewhere, cars do seem to give you more room if you are carrying a pannier. Weird.
My thoughts exactly, tubby pointed me in this direction and I also wish I'd done this from the beginning....but better late than never. The classic rollers come with built in shoulder straps and have organiser bits inside.
