Not many oxymorons in here. Some tautologies and some differences of opinion but it appears to mostly be precisely vague.

Not really. The opposite of casual, for clothing purposes, is formal. And the opposite of smart is scruffy.

Has a mod literally edited out my mention of the PM as an example of Formal Scruffy?? Am I allowed to ask why? Is all unflattering reference to members of the executive now forbidden, even if it's only sartorial?

One that always annoys me is football commentators saying "saved by the woodwork" when a shot hits the post or crossbar. No, what "saved" the defence was that the shot wasn't quite on target. Hitting the post isn't what stopped it going in.

The goal keeper/team is ’saved’, rather than the ball is saved.

I may be wrong, and it’s maybe not an oxymoron, but ‘Temperature controlled transport’ doesn’t work for me…. Surely the transport has controlled temperature?
