Well, that was interesting. Ended up getting the Altura Nightvision, thanks SavageHK and others, determined in the end on price because on sale at wiggle.

This morning was extremely wet coming in to work and I stayed totally dry. Initial impression is that they are warm but because I was fully zipped up there was no air flow. I now know why they are referred to as boil in the bag garments! I think I can live with that if they continue their dessert like quality!

Sorry I'm a bit (too) late to the party, but I own a pair of these:

Not cheap, but they also aren't boil in the bag!

I have a pair of these:

"Acquired" by a friend from some roadworks he was involved with, yes I look like a belisha beacon with these, my hi viz jacket and my ginger hair under my helmet, but they are warm, waterproof, and highly visible

They are a little baggy but tuck into my socks to stop them getting caught in the chain.

Been wearing Altura Nightvision for some time now. Wife complains that they are making the bed sheets dirty at night.....

But seriously, do the job well. Keep me warm, can get them over my cycle shoes in an emergency, and I don't get too sweaty underneath them.

Had my night vision ones for about a year now.Agree they do the job in the rain, easy to get on and off and reflective bits are good at night.
