I think they might be OK for 'a tad cold' but they don't look like pukka over shoes for winter, more like Belgian booties, how much are they?

Why shout at us with the CAPS lock? I'M NOT DEAF!

Ebay, £13, they are going to be crap.

Buy some proper overshoes such as Enduras MT500s or BBB heavyduty winter overshoes which will keep your shoes and feet dry and warm.

Whatever you end up buying, watch out for sizing.
I recently bought those from the bay not because I get cold feet (down Crankarm! ^_^) but for cycling with certain trainers I like that get uncomfortably soaked on a wet day.
Anyhow, ordered medium (I'm size 7 shoe) they are too small. Need to send them back now.
Seems all overshoes I looked at come in small, medium or large without mentioning shoe size.

I 2nd the advice to go for BBB heavy duty.. a recent test comparison in CycleActive magazine rated them joint1st.
As for sizing, most seem to be based on road shoe sizes so if you wear more substantial Mtb types wjth SPDs I would go a size larger.

I 3rd this!!! I got a pair to replace my Planet X overshoes and love them (also went a size up as I wear mtb shoes). Picked mine up for £19 new so not much more than you were willing to spend. Better to buy well than buy twice...

Don't waste your money, I have bought similar and are not very good and are too tight for my legs.
I then bought these which are much better.
They are made of the same stuff as wetsuits.

I've got a pair of Endura neoprene waterproof overshoes. I think I paid 25 quid for them... I wear them when it's 4 degrees or below out, raining or not, and my feet stay toasty warm. Agreed on sizings though. My shoes are size 10 and only size XL fits properly.

They look like lycra overshoes for aerodynamic effect rather than water resistant/insulating ones.

In my experience no overshoe will keep you dry indefinitely, but if you are going to buy some then don't skimp.

I bought some proper Winter boots for this year and there is no comparison. As you're unlikely to get more than one season out of a pair of overshoes and bearing in mind how much better they are, it doesn't take long for boots to make financial sense too; you're Summer shoes will last longer too!

I've never thought to look at winter boots - out of interest, which ones have you got, and what temperature do you find they're ok down to?

Louis Garneau Glacier; £90 from Evans.

As you can read in the review, they aren't strictly speaking boots, but shoes with an integrated overshoe: halfway between a boot and a shoe.

I've worn them with Summer socks on milder days, through Spring/Autumn socks, Winter socks and Winter socks with women's tights at 5am in the morning with snow on the ground.

On the coldest/wettest/longest rides they aren't impervious but nothing would be. Even the best overshoes I've had were only between a third and half as effective and were compromised much more quickly.

For the price of three/four pairs of overshoes (not too mention the damage to your Summer shoes) they're far more than three/four times better.

I'm not trying to argue that these particular boots are the best out there, but that boots in general will outperform shoes plus overshoes every time and under every circumstance.

I agree with Scilly Suffolk - it's makes a lot of financial sense. And your feet will thank you too.
I have a pair of Northwave Fahrenheit GTX Road Shoes - Wiggle have them on offer again....
And as SS mentioned, your nice summer shoes don't end up getting ruined.
