Hi

Having trouble finding a decent pair of waterproof overshoes to go over ladies size 38 (5) Shimano MTB shoes. For road cycling, but I just prefer MTB shoes. in fact I'm normally a 37 (size 4) but these were a better fit this time.

The ones I've seen tend to be either too big (men's sizes) or else meant for road shoes and too tight a fit to get on without worrying about splitting them. Presume you are supposed to fasten the zip all the way up??

Got some Altura Night Vision ones at the moment but after getting plenty of use lately I'm not convinced they are that waterproof. Plus the first pair had to be replaced when they split after just 2 rides. Need them to be reasonably protective for a full day's cycling.

Cheers

Endura overshoes are well made and start with size small which is 36/37.

I've just bought some Endura overshoes. I think they're MT500. I'm the same as you and I use MTB shoes on my roadie as we often get off and explore when we're out and they're much easier to walk in. Anyway. As for the overshoes, they're fantastic. Maybe slightly too warm for this time of year though. But for winter use, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

There is a fairly good discussion at the moment on overshoes here. Endura's don't rate well in that thread and having used two pair I wouldn't personally bother with them again.

Currently use a pair of BB Waterflex overshoes but thinking I might try some Shower Pass one's next.

Thanks for the replies, I will check out the recommendations here and on the other overshoes thread. Just looking for reassurance about being able to get a pair over mtb shoes when they tend to be for road ones, plus the size issue as not many are suitable for my small feet!

Cannot help on the small feet but the BBB Waterflex overshoes and the Endura ones I have used in the past went on my mountain bike shoes okay. Actually using my BBB today
