Ouch my knees

I have switched back to mainly using my flat bar bike. The high gearing of my road bike is starting to cause knee and hip niggles.

In the interim I fixed a slipping chain problem by replacing the rear dérailleur. Seems like it is the slipping chain that is partly to blame for knee and hip problems on this low geared bike. Things are now going too well !

I suffer knee pain during really cold spells or when the temperature drops while i'm out in bib shorts. I know it's nothing to do with bike set-up or anything like that as I have the same set-up during warm spells and have no knee pain at all over any distance, so could be you've been suffering with cold knee joints.

I always keep the knees warm. Cold knees certainly compounds any existing problem.
