Been getting a few nasty shocks under a high voltage cable on my rides

Found this explanation and solution.

Never experienced it but have heard its quite common. I regullarilly go under some high voltage lines that arent very high but havent felt anything.

I have never experienced it and in fact never heard of it until now.

This is the road, as you can see there's a heck of a lot of high voltage wires in one small area.

never heard of it, but i do always get a really creepy feeling when passing under high voltage lines, especially in the rain!

A simmilar thing has happened to me. Whilst riding alomgside some repairs to the gas main I was overcome with a violent attack of wind. I thought nothing of it at the time but after reading posts here I am now convinced that there may have been a correlation.

It would be interesting to find out whether this is caused by the bike the frame or the wheels or both.

I don't suppose you fancy sitting underneath on some rollers and reporting the results?

Can't be or the electric shock would turn it to dust
