I too was concerned about wet clothes in my panniers, so I put them in bin bags and saved the difference

I have to admit that the only reason I went for the Plus version was because I don't like the shiny effect on the normal ones.

For me it was the opposite! I bought the classic ones because I really liked the loud yellow colour - makes me more visible on the road. I do regret not getting the plus ones now. They're only a little more expensive and I think they're quite a lot stronger.
