One to see:

To Kill a Mocking Bird

What a fantastic film. The reason it's taken me so long to see is I was put off by its presence on the curriculum in Higher English - not even my year but my older sister's year. The Mrs and I sat down to watch it on Friday as part of our ongoing quest to see "classic" films using our Lovefilm account. I wholeheartedly and unashamedly recommend it, it truly is a classic.

One to miss:

Duck Soup

OK the script was at times very witty and Groucho was undoubtedly a very funny man, and yes there were some iconic scenes in it. But overall it was too madcap to hang together and by the end I just wanted it over with.

Oh, and, eh, another one to miss:blush:

No Country for Old Men

Was enjoyable, well shot and acted until it decided to end like someone told it "soon as you're finished you can go out and play" and so it did just that. Nah.

There seems to be a huge tear in the space-time continuum?

I watched The 39 Steps for the first time today, rather good I though.
Surely not the 1959 Kenneth Moore version. I didn't enjoy that.

one to see - son of Rambo.....brilliant acting, suberb camerawork and very nostalgic

one to miss - the foot fist way. - very uncomfortable film to watch - boring in parts and only slightly funny.

This new-fangled kinematograph will never replace decent family evenings singing hymns around the piano. Mark my words.
Shame no-one knows how to play the piano whilst you sing hymns around it...
