Not quite, Tipp-Ex is a German invention dating from the late 1950s. Mike's mum invented a similar product that she called Liquid Paper, first known as Mistake Out, at about the same time.

As true as this undoubtedly is, most (all?) Spaniards can boast similarly long names... if they wish. Their surnames are literally the family tree! Though in common practice, they don't cite in beyond a generation or two.
