I vaguely recall reviews of the Interceptor when it was still made. Mostly it was criticism of the 'agricultural underpinnings' (e.g. the live axle and cart-springs at the rear) and unfavourable comparisons with the FF.

Me Pa wasn't a fan on the engine. "American rubbish", apparently, which to this day makes me wonder when he bought it at all.

I loved it, and I'd happily have one just to gaze at.

£125K is silly money for something that wasn't actually very good at all, shirley?

This is where my spendy-cash would go at that pricepoint, were I looking for a proper V8 grand tourer.

They are a lovely looking beast, there's one parked in a garage just around the corner, it comes out for a few miles every now and then

Time was when they were mad cheap, like 4 - figure cheap! Now replaced as the cheap Aston by the DB7 from c2000 which are 10-20k or so.

Love Interceptors..my Dad had one for a while when I was younger,he'd bought it to sell.Remember him taking me on the motorway for a drive as a kid ,doing 120 and thinking the car was falling apart,they were prone to rot and a good chance my old man had filled it with paper and filler 🤣
