And those conditions were horrendous - reminded me of sunday club runs in the winter back in Derbyshire.
They certainly were! Part of me thought that was a shame as we'd woken up in Lille to clear skies, but most of me thought it was fitting to have 'proper Belgian weather' for the race. Not that I saw much racing. The women start in a different location from the men so while I saw the women roll out and an extremely broken up field coming through the feed station, all I saw of the mens race was a couple of minutes on the big screen by the finish. Still, awesome experience, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
