Olympics - no progress for women's cyclists

which means that there will be only three women't cycling events - compared to seven for men, and Victoria Pendleton will have just the one chance at gold. A poor reward for London's new velodrome, but, as the Olympic 'movement' is just one big corrupt scam, we might not care....

Golf really doesn't need the Olympics and rugby sevens is just a novelty spin-off like 20/20 or 5-a-side footie.

Women's boxing doesn't seem right but that's me being old-fashioned, I suppose.

I don't really understand the inclusion of golf or sevens either. I've no time for golf but enjoys sevens so it's not simply a matter of me not liking them. I don't think golf needs the platform and I just don't think of it as an Olympic sport, and sevens is like marmite - those that love it will love it, those that don't wont bother.

I don't understand all those qualifiers in the article about women's participation levels - if they can fill the schedules for the World Cups and World Championships then surely they can manage it for the Olympic Games?

I can see absolutely no reason why they can't include the extra women's events on the track as well as whatever other kind of moneyspinners they want to add. It's not as if the golf and rugby will be using the same space as the track cycling is it?

From what I´ve read, Adam Gilchrist and Steve Waugh (amongst others) are pushing for 20/20 cricket to make an apperance at the 2020 Olympics!

golf is more skill than it is about physicle performance, so i dont thnk it should be aloud

maybe we should have the olympic snooker tournemant...
