Well, yes, but that would be a very unusual combination in the mens peloton. I was wondering if that is a reflection of the women's peloton or is she just a freak (in the nicest possible sense)?

Pooley's done a lot more than that. Silver in last olympics TT. Former World TT champion, a bronze as well. Not a good time today though .

The bright and lovely Emma* was never going to excel on that course. That was her pre-race analysis and the results back it up. Sad to see Vos suffering, but possibly that brings greater credit to Lizzie Armitstead, (and the wonderful Ms Pooley who after all rode the legs off most of the other women on Sunday)
