However the one thing I really hope never breaks and gets used regularly is my iPod Classic 160gb.
I saw some video about a guy who replaces the iPod HDD with a larger capacity SSD.

Some trinkets in my collection. First, an Olympus MJU-1 from the early 90's, and a Casio Data Bank DC-7500A from late 80's/early 90's?

The camera was used on my first ever trip to Thailand over 30 years back, with a half day stopover in Moscow.
It was early Feb, -15C, and the sliding shutter cover froze stuck after the first few pics

The databank - can't remember much, just they were all the rage back then.
Next, my first laptop that I actually bought, previous were from my employer. Getting on for 20 years old I think. Not sure it'll work now.
One of the hinges broke, so bodged a repair to keep it going back then

This old Sony Vaio, dozen years old at least, is still in use by Mrs Crank. Like that the battery just detaches from the back, nice and easy.

Hoping one day to get a display cabinet and have a sort of mini museum of this nostalgia stuff.
i wonder why that is, mine works fine no problem with signal (doubt it has been south of newcastle, probablyy have more modern stuff down south)I've got the same model. It won't work connect to modern networks. I still use it as an alarm clock every morning.
However the one thing I really hope never breaks and gets used regularly is my iPod Classic 160gb. Gets me through many a boring turbo trainer ride in the garage during the winter. I have two hi fi set ups still with a docking station, have to hope they keep going as they are increasingly hard to find.
My bench grinder is 1950s vintage.
I forgot about my iPod, I've got the same one, used virtually every day in the car. I also have 2 docks, 1 on the hi-fi and the other at work attached to a desktop speaker. I think if it ever packed in I would be distraught. The switch can be a bit iffy sometimes but I always say it's one of the best things I ever bought.
