Visited the daughter in Edinburgh and discovered the individual macaroni Cheese pie. I like macaroni cheese, I like pies, I love the combination 😁

My local pub (built 1904) still has an etched window in a door,with the words 'Jug Department' written on it. Apparently it was were the workers from the local cotton mills took their jugs before work,to buy pints of beer for their shifts. The beer was only about 2%abv,but they drank it rather than water, as un-boiled water in those days wasn't safe enough to drink.

What beer has been £5 a pint for years, £10-15 when I’m working in the Middle East
