People never laugh at my cycle helmet as I wear a pink tutu and angel wings

I just glare and swing an old bike chain :gun:

Possibly because the glasses are hiding some of your face so it's like "They don't know who I am! I'm safe!"

That's probably it

I wear glasses and a helmet.

I don't give a monkeys what I look like but if I can keep flys out of my eyes and my head off the tarmac then it's good enough for me.

I wear a helmet and glasses to keep the fly's out of my eyes but they didn't keep the bee out of my helmet, it don't half smart when you get stung on the head

Don't worry we all feel like that a first but when your out on the road and you see other cyclists with them on nobody cares.

Well when you are wearing full, black lycra and you have a bright yellow helmet on, and look like a black bananna with a grape on its head, then I think many people care, including myself.

I have an ETTO Road helmet. The good thing is is that it was only £20, and it has a fly net at the front, fully adjustable, really comfy (had to replace the pads at the from and back because they wore down), scratch proof, and bright yellow!

It was very good quality for the price (compare to £30 - £50 for new ones now).

I choose to wear a helmet but sometimes I'd rather I wasn't. This is mainly because I get very hot when cycling, especially on the face. I go bright red and sweat loads and it is particularly bad where the helmet rests on my forehead.

I still sweat without a helmet on but the increased airflow and lack of pressure on the skin feels loads better.

Im the same, thats why I wear a buff under my hood keep the sweat out of eyes, just get some cheap ones of ebay well worth the investment !

+1
I was even more reluctant to wear a buff than I was to wear a helmet - I felt like a right arse. But it is the best solution to a sweaty head, and it also solves the insect on scalp problem.

I wear a helmet in 30 degree heat, and I don't even notice the sweat on my head, to be honest.

I'm too busy noticing the sweat running down my arms and legs.
