Don't worry we all feel like that a first but when your out on the road and you see other cyclists with them on nobody cares.

Ho hum. I wear a helmet when I'm out training or commuting, but used not to do when with the kids - mainly because I'm not messing with any traffic. That's stopped as the kids complained, so had to do it. The kids and wife all have Giro helmets, so you can see it cost me a few wads..... Daughter picked her's from the LBS when I picked up my fixed - so it was top dollar !!!

I wear glasses and a helmet.

I don't give a monkeys what I look like but if I can keep flys out of my eyes and my head off the tarmac then it's good enough for me.

I bought a helmet when I bought my Marin, then I lost it somewhere (the helmet not the Marin).
I went for a while without one but have recently invested in one. Good thing too as I then fell off and broke the helmet. I now have a replacement.

I try not to ride an upright without a helmet now as I have been prone to falling over, even when walking, however I have no issue about people who don't.

TBH I feel more silly wearing a fluorescent orange top, yellow is more my colour.

People never laugh at my cycle helmet as I wear a pink tutu and angel wings

I choose to wear a helmet but sometimes I'd rather I wasn't. This is mainly because I get very hot when cycling, especially on the face. I go bright red and sweat loads and it is particularly bad where the helmet rests on my forehead.

I still sweat without a helmet on but the increased airflow and lack of pressure on the skin feels loads better.
