Dammit. Recently took advantage of an offer, 10 Michelin A1 inners for £15. Oops - they are a size smaller than I normally use. MUST CHECK BARGAINS.

I do have a set of wheels with 23mm Duranos on them but normally ride 28s. The tubes won't go to waste exactly but I don't really need 10 of them.

1) is it safe to use them in 28s
2) anyone want half a dozen cheap inners?

I don't think you will have any problem with them. I once found I had used a 700 23mm tube in a 27 * 1 1/4. (about 32mm) It wasn't until the tyre wore out I discovered it.

I was curious too so I found time to do a lunch time check.
Blowing them up, one side I let get to 31mm whilst the other half stayed at 21mm I bought the longer valve and weight was dead on 100 grams. Not 'light and thin butyl' so I think they might make good lightweight 28mm tubes.

I don't like the fact that there is mo retaining thread on the valve though usefully Michelin pack them into a 20 outer box.
They are decent, the uniformity being OK, though thinking about it the weird and wonderful Michelin man shaped ones I last had were likely the bigger C1.
