Thats the stuff I use, it doubled the life span of my chains from 1200 miles to 2400 miles, and quitened down the transmission like nothing else ever has done. I apply it with a small modelling paintbrush then I heat my chain with an electric blow torch to make it flow. I doubt very much though that one application lasts a 1000 miles from my experience as it seems to wash off pretty easily if your out in heavy rain a lot by my rusty chain the next day and the rattle.
Maybe in better weather it may be more longer lasting
