We had a previously badly done patio redone when we were in Cheltenham when all the Fred West horror was emerging. The thought did occur to us, but thankfully it had been undermined by burrowing ants rather than anything worse. One of our labourers had actually been at a party at West's house where his girlfriend had been lodging. Fred had made unwelcome advances too, so it was all very chilling.
