Tom Swift and His Electric Rifle

Spot on. Thomas A Swift Electric Rifle. Alas, Taser is now a brand name, and they're very quick to threaten legal action against folk who refer to other electric shock devices by the generic name of Taser.

I used to go to the Cadbury's cinema most lunchtimes in the mid 70s. They used to show films, in half hour segments, spread over each day of the week. Sometimes I would go to their swimming pool for a quick few lengths instead.

The Titanic was the first ocean liner to have a swimming pool.
