Un rouleur infatigable
James Bond appears in the TV episode of Agatha Christie’s Marple, A Caribbean Mystery, staring Julia Donaldson.

This is 100% true. He even utters the line “Bond, James Bond.”

As well as singing the theme songs for three Bond movies, Dame Shirley Bassey made a cameo appearance in each of these films. in “Goldfinger”, she played the girl that was killed by being painted with gold paint. In “Diamonds are Forever”, she sang in the casino, and in “Moonraker” she was the second space shuttle pilot.

She was the original choice to play the first female “M”, a role that has traditionally always been played by a Lord rather than a Dame. However it was thought that audiences would not accept her because she was Welsh and the part was eventually offered to Dame Judi Dench. Dench was not the second choice; the role had already been offered to Dame Julie Walters and Dame Vera Lynn.

I'm given to understand that Dame Edna Everage also turned the role down.
Everage was rejected because she was Australian, which was seen as being even more unacceptable than being Welsh. MI5 don’t employ foreigners or northerners, or indeed anyone from outside the Home Counties.

Ronnie Corbett is so embarrassed by his skin blemish, he insists on being filmed from a distance so it doesn't show.

This has led to the misconception that he's very small.

I have a shushpishion that Connery might not come from the Home Counties
Sean Connery was born and brought up in Richmond, Surrey. However, after failing to gain any significant acting roles, he spent 3 years with a voice coach to develop an Edinburgh accent, as at that time there was a shortage of actors from the East of Scotland, and he felt that an Edinburgh accent might enhance his job prospects. Unfortunately, the voice coach he used had a speech impediment.

Steven Segal, the hard man ponytail wearer, has invented a new martial art. Unfortunately, the ceremonial pie eating session before each training bout has inadvertently created his rotund appearance. Gravy poisoning has also caused the strange hair line.
