A month ago I put a new 10-speed chain on my fat bike. It was the Inkesky brand. I clean and lube the chain every hundred miles. (Yes, I know, I'm over zealous.) So today it was time for the service. And although it's a bit premature to put a chain checker on it, I did it, anyway. I was surprised that I couldn't get my Park CC-2 chain checker into it, so I measured it with a 12" steel ruler, and found that over the 12" the chain came up 1/8" short. It was 11 7/8". It performs flawlessly, though. Gear changes are sweet.
I was just wondering if anyone else has come across a chain like this. But why would anyone check a new chain?
