HTF did they tax it without an MOT??

I don't think you are checked at the time, I'd imagine the government won't worry about wether you have a MOT when they take your tax moneys!

I have to have MOT & insurance to get tax, surely taxis do too!?

The website refused to let me renew my tax a couple of weeks ago. It was due to run out on 30th June, but my MOT was due to run out a few days earlier.

All okay once the MOT was renewed.
And still only £20 a year for the tax. Fab.

Interesting. A relatives car MOT ran out (we forgot it becomes due after 3 years) and they had it serviced and taxed with no issues. I can't remember what prompted me to double check it but it all worked out in the end.
