What a dude. He is absolutely my favourite cyclist, simply because he does nothing normally or the easy way. It would be great if he does it.

He's some cyclist! And has never got the recognition he deserves. :tongue:

I bet most people think 'bike made from washing machine parts' when his name is mentioned rather than just how he achieved what he did. The 'washing machine' story was good at the time but seems to have eclipsed just what he achieved. I'm sure he's not too fussed.

It would be great if he could do it.

According to Wikki, at the age of 42 on 15 January 1994, setting a record of 51.84km. Beaten in April of the same year by Obree (52.71km)
