I don't know if its the energy i'm putting in (quite steady), the route (fairly flat-ish) or if i'm actually a little bit fitter than I think I am. But by throwing a couple of cereal bars into my backpack and eating them out on route (usually when I come to a roundabout or something and i'm deciding which way to go next) I feel absolutely great on the bike. My route yesterday was fairly hilly, more drags than anything, and just over 26 mile.


This is a massive increase to 10 miles, two and a half weeks ago and being dead for the rest of the day. Yesterday I threw in some kendal mintcake too, is stuff like that good for the sugar content? Also what about things like jelly babies, if Kendal MC is good then I think they should be possibly even better? They're cheap too!
