Numbness

I think the numbness is caused by vibration travelling from the wheels through the forks and up to the handlebars. Maybe at a lower pressure the softer tyre would vibrate less.

Sore left wrist after being out today (30miles), wed (10) and fri (13). Feel I grip too much. Anyone any recommendations on best way to use less grip?

Was planning on moving my flat bar slightly upward and forward by rotating them round slightly. Should that help?

Im also planning on buying bar ends as I feel thats a more comfortable position for me. Problems with lower back so not a fan of a low cycling position and prefer being more upright.

Use a hybrid and primary use is canal paths etc.

You're not doomed, bar ends are good great for flat bars. I would have no trouble recommending these.

Comfy and long lasting.

As soon as I got my hybrid the first thing I upgraded was putting bar ends on. Not only do they give you a variety of grips during longer rides but also they help climbing steep hills when you get your position locked in.

Definately get them and start tweaking your seat/bars till you notice no discomfort. Make sure you rest though if you get sore otherwise you wont be able to tell if your adjustments have worked!!

Great! Thanks guys. Will order bar ends tonight. Not keen on full sized ones and thinks some of the small ones will be too short so Im looking for something 3/4s in size. Will have a browse online but any other recommendations welcome!

Can you get bar ends that have a slight amount of movement in them? Im thinking they would be great for folk with sore wrists.
