GWS !
BTW how often are +60 men supposed to have a prostate examination ?
(I was OK when checked 5 years ago )
I am not sure how often that should be.But if any bloke is interested this is my story.
Maybe about three years ago,i was peeing three and four times each night.I was so tired and run down.So i went down to the Docs,a bloke. He told me i had Nocturnia. He also said he did not want to give me any drugs, because they made you feel drowsy, and as i was out and about cycling, that could be dangerous. In his defence, later i did see evidence to back up that statement.
So fourteen months pass, and i am still peeing during the night.I am now frazzled. So i return, i see a Female Doctor, who gave me Tamsulosin,i stopped peeing during the night after only four pills. Two years later i am still taking them. They are good.
So in Jan this year i am getting ready for bed, when i go to the toilet and hells bells blood spurts out.I am fast tracked to Urology and that is how i am now at the position i am.An enlarged Prostate and a crushed up bladder fighting for the same space.
Yesterday drugs in pill form were suggested.I will be seeing my GP this week, the Hospital will see to that,i have to wait to be contacted. But last night i did some Google research, these pills are taken for three months then the Prostate is scanned, they are taken for a total of six months only, then they have either worked or it's easy surgery with a couple of days in Hospital and a bag fitted for forty eight hours, then everything is ok.
So chaps if you are peeing OFTEN if the flow is WEAK and pathetic,GO and ask for a scan.Don't go through three or four years.I wish the male Doc had sent me for a scan,i might not have a thick walled bladder, and the Prostate might have been smaller.
