...I'm 2 and a half discs in, not even half way through. So there's this ring, a couple of small blokes with big feet and an old bearded CTC type bloke with a stick...and they are hiking across what looks like the lake district to me, trying to find a place to melt the ring down...but every so often there are these ugly bastards who keep attacking then...but theres this wimpy bloke in tights witha bow and arrow and pointy ears who keeps saving the day....oh please...tell me there is an end???

Actualy somewhere in New Zealand which is where the director comes from aperently.

Ok...1.30am and I finally finished watching!

..actually I found myself hooked as the epic progressed. I got the DVD set several years ago as I present but never got past the first half hour or so...this time I decided I was going to like it instead of deciding I would not like it...

...I recall my class being read the Hobbit by the teacher on Friday afternoons in my school in Hutton....happy days.
